How to get seen on Instagram

Becoming an influencer and growing your audience isn’t as easy as it looks, if it was, there would be a lot more people doing it! What goes on behind the scenes, is far more than posting a pretty picture and gaining likes. There is time and effort spent on planning everything from content to hashtags and more. With the ever changing algorithm it is becoming increasingly harder to be seen, long gone are the days of seeing images based on timestamps (the good old days).

So to help make sure your efforts are being noticed, we’ve put together some of our top tips to help you be seen on the platform:

Utilise the hashtags

There is no point in using generic hashtags on your posts where millions of others are doing the same as your work will literally get lost in the crowds. Be specific and use select hashtags relevant to your niche and the content itself. Don’t feel the pressure to use all 30 if they are not relevant! And for an extra tip, be sure to use both a mix of large and small tags for maximum reach.

Engage

This is an obvious one. How can you expect anyone to engage with you if you aren’t doing the same. By engaging with your audience, you are more likely to build greater relations  with them and your content will start appearing more often on their home page.

Location

Utilising location is just another one to help you achieve being seen by new audiences. This is especially the case for those in the lifestyle and travel niches as this can help people across the globe discover you!

Reels

Short form video content is where it’s heading. Instagram has already stated that they are focusing on video content on the platform. Getting involved in reels helps you be seen by new audiences with greater opportunity to reach more people!

Tagging

This may seem like an obvious one, but be sure to tag the brands you’re featuring! But they aren’t the only ones. There are so many niche inspo pages sharing their favourite content from influencers, just like you. By tagging them gives you a greater chance of your content to be seen, shared and viewed by those within your direct community.

Well what are you waiting for? Let’s make sure you’re finally getting the recognition you deserve.
